Transgender people in Scotland have campaigned for six years to be able to legally change their identity. But the excitement of the laws passing the Scottish parliament were quickly shattered when the English government signalled it would enact a rarely use law to block the change. Trans people are now at the heart of a constitutional fight in the UK.
