Lina S. Maddah is an Economic Researcher at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) and a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Lebanese American University (LAU), Lebanon.

Bassel Akar is a Research Associate at the Center for Applied Research at Notre Dame University (NDU) - Louaize, Lebanon, and at the Center of African Studies at the University of Porto, Portugal.
