About this episode

When we think about a public health crisis, we often think about a contagious disease – like COVID-19. But right now substance use disorders and addiction are an epidemic in our country. That’s why this week, Chelsea is sitting down with two people with unique perspectives on this issue: Mayor Muriel Bowser is addressing challenges around substance use disorders and addiction in D.C., while managing the many other crises of this last year. And Dax Shepard, whose candor about his own addiction and recovery makes him a role model for so many and tackles the issue of stigma head on.
