A C-Section is a major abdominal surgery, where the lower abdomen of a pregnant woman is cut and a baby is born via the incision.
There is no doubt that cesarean sections save the lives of millions of women globally, who would have in the past, died due to unknown medical conditions and reasons.
With that in mind, the WHO (World Health Organization) has stated that each country’s c-section rates should not exceed 15% of all births.
Sadly, Egypt’s c-section rates are currently around 62% (possibly higher) making Egypt rank one of the top three countries worldwide with the highest c-section rates.
How can we know if the c-section suggested by a doctor is absolutely necessary?
