In 1888, East End of London was known for violence and crime amongst the backdrop of poverty. But suddenly there was an increase in murders where many believe there was a serial killer out loose. We know of 5 confirmed murders that were tied to one guy, Jack the Ripper. At the time literacy was increasing and the story of his murders started gaining attention through the news.
