Content Is Queen
About this episode

Hello, and welcome to Wanna Be. The podcast that takes you from where you are now to where you wanna be in 30 minutes or less.

I’m Imriel Morgan, Founder of Content is Queen, a podcast agency and community for ambitious podcasters. Thank you so much for taking the time to be here! Wanna Be’s focus is to help you take consistent action to build a successful life and career in the creative and entertainment industries.

So I pulled together this season just before my baby girl arrived and changed my world. As always, I let my curiosity lead the way when curating Wanna Be. This season is no different, and this time I speak to mums who continue to level up their careers after the babies arrive. I can assure you that while every guest is a parent, this isn’t a parenting podcast, so expect the same great practical steps to elevate your career.

Before we get to our esteemed guest- Here is a quick notice for any aspiring or current podcasters listening. If you’re looking for a cosy and affordable professional studio space, head on over to contentisqueen.org to find out how you can use our studios to level up your podcast.

Now let’s talk about my first guest. Where do I even begin with this, babe?! Candice Brathwaite is a Sunday Times Bestselling author, journalist, TV presenter, and founder of Make Motherhood Diverse. Candice started her blogging career in 2016 and has turned her online presence into a very lucrative career. Her book I Am Not Your Baby Mother was a groundbreaking expose of the disparity black women face while pregnant in the UK healthcare system.

Candice is known to keep it 100 with you, and she didn’t disappoint in today’s episode. Candice reveals why she chose a career online as a blogger and influencer. She shares how she’s able to write a book a year. You’ll learn how she protects her energy and attracts many lucrative opportunities and so much more. Let’s get into it.

Candice was 100% worth the wait. This edit was tough; I can’t lie; we chatted for a full hour and just knew I could pull a part 2 out of this. Check out her books I Am Not Your Baby Mother, Sista Sister, and her debut YA fiction novel Cuts Both Ways. If you like her energy, you can find Candice on Instagram @CandiceBrathwaite.

That’s a wrap. Thank you so much for listening. I hope this half an hour has made you think, reflect and contemplate what your next step should be.

I want to encourage you to think about one person who would benefit from the messages shared today, and I’d love for you to share this episode with them right now! If you’d like to keep up with the latest episode releases, follow Wanna Be on your favourite podcast player and follow us on Instagram @contentisqueenhq.
