The slug moves slowly across the sidewalk,
As I lower down to watch her.
She’s heading to her favorite spot,
Where the flowers fall for her to eat.
I observe her colors and patterns,
And marvel at nature’s creations.
Soon my gaze widens,
And I see the jungle of activity in my yard.
Everything’s alive.
Everything’s connected.
It is magical.
I find magic in the mundane.
