Au XIXe siècle Londres est une des villes les plus peuplées du monde. Mais c’est aussi une ville très (très) cracra. La chasse d’eau est inventée mais les eaux usées terminent dans des fosses. Rien de grave puisqu’on utilise cette… chose, pour fertiliser les champs. C’est du propre ! Sauf que vers 1850, on trouve un meilleur fertilisant et moins cher. Les fosses commencent à déborder… C’est la merde, littéralement. Bref, on ne vous dit pas tout.
