En 1907, un parti nationaliste se crée au sein de l’Empire ottoman. Le mouvement des jeunes Turcs a plusieurs ambitions. Mais l’histoire se complique et ils veulent finalement éliminer toutes les ethnies non turques et non musulmanes. Deux ans plus tard, on compte des dizaines de milliers d’Arméniens massacrés. Puis, des populations sont aussi déportées (comme si ce n’était pas assez)… Dès 1915 pourtant, certains États (on vous dit lesquels dans l’épisode) ont reconnu le génocide arménien comme crime contre l’humanité.
