About this episode

Shaykh JJ Muhammad Shakur has a phenomenal story. Born and raised in the city of Toronto, Canada, he grew up hustling in the streets trying to make quick money. After a near-death experience in the streets, he had a striking encounter with an elder that saw him embrace Islam in 1998. He went on to study the sciences of Islam across the Muslim world and has since been studying and teaching Islam for the past 18 years.
