Dans les mythes grecs, les Dieux descendent souvent de l’Olympe pour se mêler aux humains. Dans d’autres épisodes, nous avons vu Ulysse recevoir l’aide d’Hermès, Poséidon faire naître le Minotaure, ou encore Aphrodite nouer les amours d’Hippomène et Atalante.  Quant à Zeus, le Roi des Dieux, il eût de nombreuses amours humaines, qui donnèrent naissance à certains des plus grands héros de la Grèce.
