Leaked letter from Trump’s legal team de...

CNN
About this episode

A leaked letter from the National Archives to Trump’s legal team outlines how he took more than 700 pages of classified documents, including top-secret materials, to Mar-a-Lago when he left the White House in January 2021. The panel discusses how Trump sought to delay the FBI and the Intelligence Community in obtaining those documents by claiming executive privilege, why Trump’s legal team would leak this letter, and if it further implicates the former president in a potential crime.

The polls close in New York where the chairs of two powerful House Committees, Rep Jerrold Nadler and Rep Carolyn Maloney are dueling for one Congressional seat, with CNN projecting a Nadler win. Plus, California Governor Gavin Newsom vetoes a bill that would create safe drug injection sites in San Francisco, L.A., and Oakland over “Unintended consequences”, and two men are found guilty of conspiracy to abduct Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
