We are only days from the month of Ramadan and so many of us are feeling a rush of emotions! We are overjoyed that the month is so near, yet anxious because we have not prepared enough. We are energized by the prospect of growth in this month, but weary of the difficult year that we’ve had. We are hopeful that this will be a month of return, but fearful that we are still not sure if we will make it, or worse, that we will make it and not benefit. On this final jumaa before Ramadan, we will remember the experience of the early Muslims and their very first Ramadan of fasting.
