Dr Shruti Narayanswamy is originally from Mumbai and was born with Alopecia Universalis. She received her PhD from the University of St Andrews, Scotland and is currently an educator at the university. She is also a film and media researcher, currently working on a research project on the impact of media representations on women with Alopecia.
