She can't hear anything without her hearing aids, and unfortunately she can't wear her aids when she has an ear infection flare up. Her boss decides that she still has to work anyway, so he puts her on phone duty. A deaf person... on phone duty. When OP doesn't answer the phones, the boss yells at her. Dude, what did you expect?
