In Episode #23 we talk to Pete Cable, Division Manager at SCOTT Sports, a leader in the development, manufacturing, sales and marketing of high end, running, cycling, winter and motor sports performance products.
This latest episode of Brand Spotlight focuses on SCOTT founded in 1958 by engineer and skier Ed Scott, from Sun Valley, Idaho, USA.
Scott USA began by manufacturing a ski pole made of aluminium, which compared favourably with those made of bamboo or steel. On the basis of this success, the company started to produce many kinds of sports goods, specialising initially in motocross and cycling.
In the early 2000s Scott contracted a research and development lab in Portland, Oregon, to create a full line of high-performance running shoes for both male and female athletes and in 2006 launched its first running product.
Based in Givisiez, Switzerland, the new global headquarters of SCOTT Sports, the brand is known for being an innovation leader in the sports industry and INNOVATION - TECHNOLOGY – DESIGN is the company’s very own mission statement can be found at the core of every product.
