About this episode
This episode focuses on tackling community and ambulance backlogs in the NHS. We begin by hearing from Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's clinical lead for discharge and intermediate care Karen Hutton, and Marguerite Harvey, a clinical lead physiotherapist based in A&E, as they explain their discharge to assess new initiative which sees patients assessed in their own home.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust's clinical response and governance manager (and paramedic) Simon Jennings, and Charlotte Underwood, a nurse in their new clinical hub, share details of how the new hub in their emergency operations centre helps deliver the right care to patients first time.
