UCLA Goes First Four to Final Four, Is G...

About this episode

On today’s episode, Jason kicks things off with some thoughts on the UCLA Bruins’ improbable run to the Final Four. The Bruins lost their last 4 games of the regular season – and were down 16 points in their play-in game against Michigan State – but now find themselves staring down the Goliaths of Gonzaga in the Final Four. Speaking of Gonzaga, Producer Rob G swings by to discuss what kind of pressure the Bulldogs could be feeling heading into the game as heavy favorites. Gonzaga hasn’t played a close game in months, so it’ll be interesting to see how they respond going against a scrappy UCLA squad that’s playing with house money. (Full disclosure: Both Jason and Rob G expect Gonzaga to roll in this game, but still). Later, The Athletic Lakers beat writer Jovan Buha swings by to discuss how a lifelong UCLA fan ended up going to USC for college, his impressive rise in the sports media world, why he feels like the Lakers are being extremely cautious with the injuries to Anthony Davis and LeBron James, why he expects the arrival of Andre Drummond will eventually lead to Marc Gasol getting squeezed from the rotation, why he views the Utah Jazz as the least intimidating rival - and the Los Angeles Clippers as the biggest threat - in the Western Conference, how much longer he expects LeBron to play at a high level, and much more!
