Episode 138 Part 1: Del Shannon

Sam Williams
About this episode
This week's song & artist is someone who tended to write about things that were dark & scary and many of his songs had an edge about them that was everything but innocent & fun, which contradicted a lot of the other music that was coming out at the same time he was coming up under. he also had a big following in another country that was influential in a huge wave of music that was coming for the American charts shortly after his heyday as a musician/songwriter. This week I break down one of his biggest hit songs but it's surprisingly not the one song that everyone knows by him, it's actually the next song he put out after his huge number one hit that every knows came out, and this week I talk about what makes this song so good musically and lyrically, so here's the link to that song just in case you wanted to listen to it:

I'm happy I was able to do this recently and I hope you enjoy it:
