Wow! This story is just so beautiful and feels really special! It is a legend from the Dogon tribe from Mali in Africa, and tells their story of how the world was created. The Dogon are a highly artistic and creative people, they are known for their incredibly beautiful artwork, their mask dances, wooden sculpture, and their architecture. This wonderful story echos many of the elements of the story of creation in the Christian faith, although it evolved separately. It reminded me that so many cultures share value systems, an awe for the beauty and wonder of the natural world, and the necessity for human connection. I hope you enjoy listening and learning.x.
