What is BPD? What causes it? And what to...

Kristin Nicole
About this episode

In this pilot episode, Kristin goes into what Borderline Personality Disorder is, what is thought to cause to cause it, that the cycle can be broken, and what you can expect from this podcast series.

ADDITIONAL EPISODE INFO:
Borderline Personality Disorder is highly stigmatized and widely misunderstood, particularly by those who have not personally experienced BPD. But at the end of the day, it is simply an emotional regulation disorder......and it CAN be overcome.

Now being "simply" an emotional regulation disorder, does not mean that battling BPD is easy. Nor does it mean that it's not hard work to overcome it. But frankly, it's hard to live with it so it's a matter of choosing your hard.

What BPD TRULY is as compared to what people THINK it is, is vastly different. And having BPD does NOT make you a horrible person....

...yet if you search Borderline Personality Disorder online then you will mostly be met with stories of terror and hopelessness accompanied with talk of how horrible it is to be with someone with BPD or to be the child of someone with BPD.

With highly triggering negativity such as this, someone with BPD can be left feeling as though they are not worth it and that all is lost. BUT THERE IS HOPE.

What NO ONE seems to be talking about is the fact that people with BPD CAN learn to not only how become more stabilized emotionally, but also create a THRIVING, BEAUTIFUL and FULFILLING LIFE.

In fact, people with BPD can turn things around so much so that they essentially become BPD free....a.k.a. in "remission" of the symptoms.

This is something that Kristin Nicole, knows all too well because she is a BPD warrior, conqueror and a HSP (highly sensitive person) herself.

She's lived it, learned from it, grown from it, and is now a life coach who is dedicated to helping other BPD and HSP women create their protective emotional skin, learn to love all of themselves and to let their gorgeous lights shine despite the darkness.

This podcast is meant to be a beacon of light and hope for all those who suffer from, or think they may have BPD, as well as individuals who identify as being a highly sensitive person.

In Kristin's case, she's seen a lot of similarities between being a HSP and someone with BPD and believes her methods for overcoming and learning to thrive can help both BPD and HSP women.

So let's play the shitty hand you were dealt, break the borderline stigma, transform and flourish in ways you never thought possible.
