Het waren drukke tijden voor Marlène van der Sterren, ingenieur bij Water NSW. De staat kreeg de afgelopen maanden erg veel regen te verduren, met dramatische overstromingen tot gevolg. Ze vertelt hoe Water NSW het water door de rivieren probeert te laten vloeien, met zo min mogelijk overlast voor mensen die langs die rivieren wonen. Ze legt uit waarom de regio Lismore vaak getroffen wordt door overstromingen en dat Nederland en Australië achter de schermen veel kennis uitwisselen.
