In this episode I have the pleasure of speaking with transformational teacher Kute Blackson, the author of New York Times Best Seller “You. Are. The. One.” Kute had a lot of expectations he was “supposed” to live up to, but when he looked at his future, seeing himself becoming successful while doing something that wasn’t true to who he was, he only saw unhappiness, so that’s when he had to make a change. He helps people understand where they stand with themselves and in life by recognizing their own pain, where it’s coming from, and how to deal with it in order to become free from this pain. People stay in relationships, jobs, or other situations out of fear and because they don’t want to experience pain. Some people might blame outside factors, but we have to get people to look at the reality of life because life doesn’t lie. The truth will set you free. One trick to start on the path to more happiness is just allowing yourself to recognize the truth without having to take action. Just accept the truth and stop trying to run away from it and that will be the beginning of breaking out of this unhappy state.

“The degree to which we are conditioned is the degree to which we are not free. And the degree to which we are conditioned is which we are not free to choose, that we’re not free to be aware, we’re not free to truly meet the moment and be present, and so what I help people do is become aware of their conditioning and live from the freedom of their essence and their true self, and their authenticity.” 6:58
