We're rounding out our Adoption series with Part 3 outlining the last leg of your journey- the Shelter/Rescue Experience. We've broken it up into sections for you:

1) Research the rescues and shelters that serve your area.
-Helpful resource Guidestar.org
-How transparent are is the organization?
-What do their reviews and social media look like?

2) The Adoption Application
-Treat it like a job application
--Be thorough and give your answers thought

3) Going to the Shelter
-Be prepared for the next steps
-Get there early
-Manage your expectations

P.S.  When you bring your dog home, don't overwhelm them!
- Netflix and Chill for a couple weeks with a strict routine.
