The end of free movement of people between the UK and the EU will end on 1 January 2021. This means that from that date, UK nationals will be considered third country nationals in the EU Member States for immigration purposes, and vice versa. Although there are safeguards for UK nationals living and working in a specific country or EU nationals living and working in the UK, any new move is bound to trigger additional requirements from an immigration point of view.
