Nobody Confronted Uvalde Gunman Before R...

CNN
About this episode

Officials say the 18-year-old Uvalde gunman was “not confronted by anybody” as he entered Robb Elementary School before fatally shooting 19 children and two teachers. Questions are now being asked about whether protocol was followed during the incident, and scrutiny mounts over the police response as new details emerge. How was the shooter able to stay in the school for as long as an hour before law enforcement shot him dead?

The GOP's Sen. McConnell says he’s directed Sen. Cornyn of Texas to engage with the Democrats about a "bipartisan solution" on gun violence. That, as the NRA Annual Meeting is to go ahead as planned with the pro gun-lobbying organization saying the event will “reflect on” the Texas elementary school shooting. Plus, a second grader describes surviving the horror in Texas, and a report on how the Supreme Court may soon loosen the nation’s gun laws.
