About this episode
After 12 years at the club Vicky Jepson left her position as Liverpool Women’s manager by mutual consent this week. So for this special podcast focusing on the women’s game on Merseyside, the Liverpool ECHO’s Sam Carroll is joined by Emma Sanders of BBC Sport, Kathryn Batte of the Daily Mail, and broadcaster Sarah Halpin to look at Jepson’s departure and wonder who could replace her in the Liverpool hotseat. The panel also look across the park to Everton Women, who are set for a departure of their own after French giants Lyon triggered the £100,000 release cause in Damaris Egurrola’s contract. It will see the Blues pocket one of the biggest transfer fees seen in the women’s game. So who will boss Willie Kirk target with cash to spend? That is discussed before big games for both Liverpool and Everton this weekend are previewed. Enjoy.
