Congress Gets Tough With McCarthy & Co

CNN
About this episode

Members of Congress are no longer asking, they're ordering. The January 6 Select Committee issues subpoenas to GOP lawmakers Kevin McCarthy, Scott Perry, Andy Biggs, Mo Brooks and Jim Jordan. Will any now participate in the investigation, and what would their colleagues do if they don't comply? Republicans call for the DOJ to stop Roe v. Wade protests at justices' homes, with Mitch McConnell calling such actions “flat-out illegal”. Are they? CNN Legal Analysts Joan Biskupic and Jeffrey Toobin join to discuss that, and a new SCOTUS leak reported by Politico.

Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi is a member of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis. He joins to talk about about how some of the nation's top meat producers lied about an impending supply shortage to keep their plants open through the height of the Pandemic in 2020, putting workers, and possibly the country, at risk.

Hosted by Laura Coates.
