Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - Bucks ...

iHeartPodcasts
About this episode

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by heaping a ton of verbal praise on Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday and the Milwaukee Bucks following their comeback victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 5. Champions find ways to get the job done, and the Bucks definitely showed their championship mettle with their fourth quarter closing kick - particularly in the final :45 seconds of the game. Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are going to have a really hard time bouncing back from this one. In the Western Conference, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors got blitzed by 39 points in their Game 5 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. What's even more shocking is that the Grizzlies have thoroughly outplayed the Warriors in 7 of their 8 quarters without superstar guard Ja Morant. At this point, it's pretty hard to argue against Memphis being better without Morant. Later, 7x NBA champion Robert Horry swings by to discuss his new iHeartMedia podcast ‘NBA Finals File’, the Brooklyn Nets being non-committal about  Kyrie Irving and his long-term future with the franchise, why international players like Giannis, Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic have enjoyed so much success in the NBA, how analytics and AAU have negatively impacted the way the game is played today, the Los Angeles Lakers’ search for a new head coach, and much more!
