L’empereur Constantin joue un rôle décisif dans l'histoire de l’empire romain mais aussi celle du monde.  

Il arrive au pouvoir dans une époque de crise et pour autant, à sa mort, l’empire romain
a profondément changé.  

Il crée une nouvelle Rome à laquelle il donne son nom et il favorise le christianisme, qui se développe rapidement. 

  

En quoi le règne de Constantin franchit-il une étape dans la christianisation et la réorganisation territoriale de l’empire romain?
