Key Points:

Do extend interactions

Do practice joint problem solving

Do practice playful obstruction

Don’t model words you choose before a session starts (instead, follow the child’s lead)

Don’t hide/mask too many of the words (make sure there are plenty of words to choose from - in most cases)

Don’t just model requesting - do work on comments and negation (and more pragmatic functions)
