Cowboys Run Out of Time, Chiefs Can't Be...

iHeartPodcasts
About this episode

On today's episode, Jason kick things off with a deep dive into the San Francisco 49ers upset over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. The Niners were in control for most of the game, but the big story to come out of this one was the Cowboys' peculiar decision to call a QB draw on the final play (without any timeouts) and the subsequent snafu involving the referee. Dallas never got a crack at the end zone to try and tie the game after that bizarre sequence. Whether it was Mike McCarthy or Kellen Moore who called the run, the face remains that Dak Prescott has to have more situational awareness. Moreover, it's hard to blame the officiating for what happened at the end when the Cowboys continuously shot themselves in the foot with dumb penalties throughout the game (and throughout the regular season). It was a terrible performance by all parties in involved, and it will be fascinating to see where Dallas goes from here. Later, Jason tells us why he's already laying down some big money on the Kansas City Chiefs to cover the spread and beat the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional round. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen both put on absolute shows over the weekend - albeit against inferior competition - so it's a little surprising that our fearless leader was so quick to fire on the Chiefs. Plus, Producer Rob G swings by to pay homage to his beloved Las Vegas Raiders now that this season is officially over, and to tell us why he thinks that Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the least impressive team to win their Wild Card matchup. Finally, Jason closes the show with the Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams Monday Night Football Playoff edition of the Best Bet.
