Antonio Brown Just Bounced, Rough Sunday...

iHeartPodcasts
About this episode

On today's episode, Jason is back from parts unknown (but still dealing slight audio issues) to share his thoughts on all the craziness that took place in the NFL during Week 17. First off, can you believe that Antonio Brown actually quit on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the middle of a game? Of course you can. Brown is one of the best wide receivers we've ever seen, but to say that he's a malcontent would be an understatement - both in the locker room and in his personal life. It's highly unlikely we'll ever see him in the NFL again. The Bucs weren't the only Super Bowl contending team to have a rough go of it on Sunday. Outside of Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, every single contender struggled mightily. The Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Rams squeaked by inferior competition while the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs lost games outright. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys haven't beaten a good team in months so their home loss to the Arizona Cardinals probably wasn't much of a surprise, but Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs had been playing like the best team in football... until you realize that they've been getting fat on a lot of injured rosters and bad quarterbacks. Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase absolutely carved up the Chiefs defense. It was so bad that you'd be crazy not to second-guess the Chiefs as being the clear favorites to win the AFC. Sticking in the AFC, Jason used the Tennessee Titans' blowout win over the Miami Dolphins as an excuse to take an absolute blowtorch to Tua Tagovailoa. Things got so bad, in fact, that Jason actually argued he would rather have Zach Wilson over Tua moving forward. Finally, Jason closes the show with a quick lookahead to the College Football Playoff championship game between Georgia and Alabama.
