Sophia Amoruso is the author of the 2014 New York Times Bestseller #GIRLBOSS, a book that chronicled her early life as the founder of fashion empire Nasty Gal — it was also adapted into a scripted TV series that premiered on Netflix in 2017. Reading Girlboss in 2014 was a real moment for me as its when I first made steps towards starting my own business. Since this episode aired, she has founded a new venture called Business Class, a brilliant toolkit for founders - I will link to it in the shownotes.
