La terre représente en effet la principale source de richesse et de pouvoir.  Elle est travaillée par les paysans mais elle appartient aux seigneurs, reliés entre eux par la féodalité.  

  

Paysans, seigneurs, travaux des champs : partons donc à la découverte de ces sociétés
rurales qui constituent le cadre de vie principal au moyen âge.
