110. How to find the primary stress in w...

HADAR SHEMESH
About this episode

One of the most challenging, and sometimes frustrating, aspects of English is predicting where the primary stress should be in a word. Primary stress is the one syllable in a word that sticks out the most: it’s longer, louder, and higher in pitch. In this episode, we’ll dive deep into the world of primary stress and I’ll teach you, first, how to identify it, and then – how to predict it in some cases. And if you know me, you know that effective practice is my THING. So I’ll show you my 3-step system for identifying and practicing the primary stress. Use it to see results and feel more confident and clear when communicating.

And to make it fun, you’ll also find a short quiz in the end.
