Steelers' Strange Decision, NBA Overreac...

iHeartPodcasts
About this episode

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by sharing a quick thought on the Pittsburgh Steelers' decision to bench Ben Roethlisberger in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. It's an interesting decision considering the Browns are in a win-and-they're-in playoff scenario. On the NBA front, Jason tells us why you shouldn't overreact to the Milwaukee Bucks beating the Miami Heat by 47 points. The last time we saw the Bucks in a game that really mattered they were getting swept out of the playoffs by those very same Heat. And while we're at it, let's all cool it on the Steph Curry slander. He's surrounding by a bunch of G-Leaguers right now. Later, USA Today Sports national columnist Dan Wolken swings to discuss how the pandemic may have changed the bowl system as we know it moving forward, if we can expect Notre Dame to have a better showing against Alabama in the semifinal than they did against Clemson in the ACC Championship game, how the disjointed Big Ten season could be the biggest reason why Ohio State doesn't seem to have any momentum heading into their semifinal matchup against Clemson, if Justin Field's draft stock has taken a hit given the way his play has tapered off a bit down the stretch, why it's hard to knock Dabo Swinney for his critical comments about Ohio State, why it's clear that the College Football Playoff committee has an affinity for the marquee schools, how this pandemic has exposed the NCAA in many ways, the latest on the Jim Harbaugh contract negotiations at Michigan, if we should believe the rumors that Urban Meyer is being courted by several NFL teams, if Trevor Lawerence is the greatest college quarterback he's ever seen, and much more!
