She is an internationally best-selling author and Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University. Temple’s new book is called Navigating Autism - The 9 Mindsets for Helping Kids on the Spectrum. In this interview Temple shares some valuable advice and expertise for parenting, educating, and supporting autistic learners. Temple shares how important it is to prepare individuals for the real world by identifying strengths and interests. She puts the importance on the whole child instead of getting stuck in the label. Temple also reviews how medical concerns can play a role in behavior.
