Episode 3 - Camille Lattouf | Lebanese F...

Elie
About this episode

From Capernaum to The Insult, and everything in between, the Lebanese Film Festival in Australia has screened over 250 Lebanese-based films from around the world. One might say, it's a gift that keeps on giving.

Lebanese Film Festival director Camille Lattouf, our special guest for this week's episode of "Libnanie with Elie", discusses the importance of showing a piece of the Libnanie on-screen to Lebanese and non-Lebanese audiences, the glamourised representations of the Lebanese Civil War and the Beirut explosion, the valuable contribution of Lebanon's university students to the film industry, and the colourful fusion of Western and Eastern elements in Lebanese art and culture.

Although the current COVID-19 lockdown has postponed the 10th year anniversary of the LFF until next year, Camille drops a major spoiler: the Festival will be bigger and better than ever before.
