The Packers are Just Okay, Josh Allen Co...

About this episode

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off with a very quick thought on the Green Bay Packers victory over the Detroit Lions on Monday Night. Everyone is going crazy over Aaron Rodgers' 4 touchdown passes, but let's keep it real: The game was ugly, the Lions are bad and the Packers still don't look like an elite football team. It seems like a long shot at best that the Packers will be sniff 13 wins again this season. Later, Jason takes a verbal victory lap on the heels of Josh Allen's uneven start to the season. Allen was rewarded with one of the richest deals in the NFL history this past offseason, and he responded by posting some of the worst advanced stats in the League through two games. Then again, Allen has been the wildly inaccurate guy with the bazooka arm going back to high school. so maybe this is just who he's always been. Finally, Producer Rob G joins the show for a spirited debate with Jason on the narrative that Tom Brady is playing the best football of his career. It's not all that surprising that Brady is better at 44 than he was at 24 considering he was a glorified game manager early on and he's spent the last decade dedicating himself to his craft like never before. That said, is it fair to question the legitimacy of Brady's counting stats in Tampa Bay considering that he's mostly fattened up on bad teams during that stretch? Trust us, you won't want to miss the verbal fireworks on this one!
