145: Explaining Pain as a Pain Psycholog...

EVIDENCE IN MOTION
About this episode

"Has anyone ever explained pain to you?" Rachel Zoffness, PhD, always asks her patients this one question in order to bridge the gap between her patient's understanding of their own pain and what other health care providers have told them about their pain.

On today's episode of Pain Reframed, Dr. Zoffness joins Tim Flynn, PT, PHD, OCS, FAAOMPT, and Jeff Moore, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, to discuss her new workbooks that she created to help bridge that education gap that patients have of their understanding of what their pain is telling them about their bodies. Dr. Zoffness wrote these workbooks for her own practice as a psychologist treating adolescents and young adults and is now ready to share this incredible resource with other providers.
