We find out about his friendship with Peter Doig, relationship with Tracey Emin, his breakthrough exhibitions with curator Matthew Higgs at not-for-profit art space White Columns (New York) & the ICA (London) and how he started to work with leading Berlin gallery Neugerriemschneider. Billy’s solo exhibition of new paintings at Carl Freedman Gallery, Margate runs until 25th August 2019, free entry.
