يناقش الكاتب المغربي حسن أوريد في هذه الجلسة الحوارية الأوضاع السياسية الراهنة والمضاعفات الناجمة والمحتملة عن جائحة 
كورونا وانعكاساتها على منطقة الشرق الأوسط، مسلطا الضوء على جدلية ما إذا كانت هذه الأوضاع قد نتجت عن كورونا أم أنها تأججت وظهرت على السطح في ظل هذه الأزمة. كما يطرح للنقاش قضية الأزمة السياسية الحالية (الحرب الباردة) بين أمريكا والصين مناقشا محاورها واحتمالية انتقالها الى حرب مباشرة، وما قد يترتب عليها من تغييرات على الصعيد السياسي والاقتصادي والعسكري.

يتطرق الدكتور أوريد إلى انتهاء الأحادية القطبية واختلال ميزان القوى في العالم وبروز الصين وروسيا كعوامل اقتصادية سياسية فاعلة، وظهور مجموعات جديدة أصبحت تأثر على المشهد السياسي في العلاقات الدولية. ويعلق على الأوضاع الاقتصادية الراهنة بالقول أن النيو ليبرالية قد أخفقت مما دفع أكبر الاقتصاديين للبحث عن بدائل أكثر فاعلية، وأن الفترة القادمة ستشهد تراجعا لدور الطاقات الأحفورية لصالح الطاقات المتجددة مما سيؤثر سلبا على الدول ذات الامتياز التفضيلي في هذا المجال.
