NBA Summer League Overreactions, The 'Be...

iHeartPodcasts
About this episode

On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G share their thoughts on the first week of NBA Summer League action. Neither Cade Cunningham nor Evan Mobley played particularly well in their debuts, while the #1 player on Jason's Big Board - Jalen Green - was fantastic. Is this a sign of things to come for the top 3 picks in the NBA Draft? Or, is this just another case of fans overreacting to NBA Summer League action? Only time will tell. Later, the guys re-litigate their 'Best Version of Yourself' debate from last week using Team USA Basketball as a backdrop. Kevin Durant powered Team USA to the gold medal, but the real story of the tournament was the play of guys like Jrue Holiday and Devin Booker. Neither one put up the kind of numbers we normally see from them in the NBA, but both were instrumental in Team USA's overall success. That said, just because they won the gold, would you argue that we saw the best versions of Holiday and Booker during Olympic play? The debate rages on. Finally, Jason and Rob G close the show with a lengthy discussion on Josh Allen's massive contract extension. Did the Buffalo Bills jump the gun on this one? And more importantly, did guys like Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes actually hurt Allen during his contract negotiation? Their answers may surprise you.
