In this episode, I’m celebrating teachers and pupils alike as they are going back to school in France. I’ll give you some back to school related vocabulary and you will learn French facts about the school year and holidays.

Vocabulary and Spelling of the French Words mentioned in this episode

La rentrée (des classes) = back to school
L’année scolaire = the school year
Le maître, la maîtresse = the school teacher
Professeur des écoles
La maitresse = the female lover
L’amant = the male lover
Le calendrier scolaire
Un trimestre = 3 months
Un semestre = 6 mois
Un,e élève = a pupil
Un,e étudiant,e = a student (uni)
