DFN PODCAST: FASHION PATENTS AND KICKSTA...

FASHION
About this episode

Today in Dubai Fashion News Podcast, we will learn about fashion patents and Kickstarter campaigns. We have invited Georgina Leibovich as she knows from experience about both.

Georgina Leibovich is the mastermind behind Bagmaleon. The concept and the brand are coming out of sheer necessity. Nowadays, we women do so much stuff during the day that we end up having all sort of things in our bag. When you change bags, there is always something you are leaving behind and you miss it in the new bag. If what you are leaving behind are the keys, the wallet, or the phone, it can be a disaster! This happens to me constantly and I hate it! I end up not changing my bag as much as I would want to just to avoid it.

Bagmaleon bags are a solution for us, women on the go. They have a soul, which is how they called the interior of the bag. The soul is detachable, it has a zipper and can be changed within all the other bags of the collection. So, with one soul and 2 exteriors, you are sure you will have all your belongings with you, look proper and on top of that have a gorgeous bag on your shoulder.

I had this little nylon bag organizers but the truth is that they don’t adapt to all my bag sizes. Because they are not fixed to the structure of the bag, they end up being part of the mess and not part of the solution.

Georgina´s idea is very practical, super convenient and she managed to get it patented.

ABOUT FASHION PATENTS AND KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGNS WITH GEORGINA LEIBOVICH FROM BAGMALEON

Today she will share with us how she started her brand Bagmaleon, how she does the production and how she sees and experiences that crazy thing called entrepreneurship. We will learn from her about the process of getting your ideas or designs patented and also how to organise and launch a Kickstarter campaign to get funds and visibility for your new products.

Don’t miss this podcast. The contents are gold if you are a budding designer. Georgina Leibovich talks from her experience and on top of that you have the chance to help her out with her campaign.
