1975: High Cobalt Metals, Tired After Lu...

Dr. Stephen Cabral
About this episode

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows!

This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track!

Check out today's questions:

Sheila: I have elevated levels of Cobalt (0.068) past the blue range on the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. Can you please explain what could cause this (I don't eat a lot of meat), I do take the EquiLife B Complex once a day. Any other causes for elevation? Is there a concern with this level and if so what can I do to bring it down?

John: Hi Dr. Cabral - I’m having an issue with fatigue and lightheadedness following lunch. I do 2 shakes and 2 meals each day. I don’t have an issue with breakfast which is essentially an oatmeal shake. There’s no protein powder in the shake. I get fatigued following my first whole food meal which is lunch. The next meal at supper causes no issues even if it’s the exact same meal that I had at lunch. I don’t believe the time of day makes a difference because if I go the entire day without eating and only have supper, I get the issue at supper. The common pattern appears to be the first whole food meal of the day. Do you have thoughts on why this could be happening and possible solutions? Some additional information on me: I believe I have mild POTS based on my symptoms of lightheadedness when I get up, etc. I took an Organic Acids test which showed unbalanced gut flora and yeast overgrowth. I am on day 14 of the CBO protocol, but this issue started long before that. I’ve tried Ginger tea which upsets my stomach. I’ve also tried HCL which causes severe burning in my digestive system the next morning. Do I perhaps need to add more food or protein to my first shake to “fire up” my digestion for the day? Thank you for your time.

Suzy: Are you familiar with Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome? This is what I believe I have. I experience a burning sensation in my butt, outer hip and down my IT band. Sometimes it's more of a dull ache. It's especially painful when I lay down and put pressure on those areas. I go to physical therapy but it only helps temporarily and really would like to solve the issue long term. Do you have any insight?

Lara: Hi, dr. Cabral :) I like putting all things I can into my smoothie, so I blend berries with different types of lettuce and herbs, add some seeds like chia and sunflower or pumpkin & linseed (depending on seed cycling), sometimes walnuts, hemp protein, etc.. I like using a lot of cinnamon, turmeric powder (with a bit of black pepper), ginger root in it as well, but I was wondering, how much of each is too much? Because I put A LOT! And too much of a good thing isn’t necessarily better, right? The second part of my question is about the seed cycling.. can I still use other seeds like chia no matter on the time of the month? And how much of the seeds for seed cycling can we use daily? Because I use a lot of sesame (I live in a country where we use Tahini with or in EVERYTHING, lol) Thank you for everything you do, listening to this podcast is a part of my morning routine every day and on days I cannot listen to it, I have withdrawal syndrome.. a little joke there to brighten up your already amazing day (although not far from the truth).. please keep it up, you’re helping so many people.. keep being this amazing! Lots of love for you and your family and everyone listening, Happy healing, Lara

Brynn: Hi Dr. Cabral! Thank you for everything you do! I love your podcast and have learned so much from you! I wanted to write in and ask you what your thoughts are on some of the health issues I am having and have been trying to figure out for the past few years. At the beginning of the day, I am not swollen or inflamed at all. However, throughout the day, my legs (especially ankles and calves) will get swollen and tight. They don’t get as swollen if I’m able to elevate them throughout the day but I have a desk job so it’s hard to elevate them. I workout 5-6 times a week. I’m 25, 134 lbs and 5’8”. It also seems like I have bad circulation since my fingers/feet will stay cold or hot, lips will turn purple when I’m cold, etc. I’m not sure if my circulation is correlated with my swelling or if it’s not related? I also have bad scoliosis - could this play a factor into my circulation and swelling? Sorry this is long, but I would really appreciate any help! I’m doing your parasite cleanse right now and will be doing the mold and heavy metal one after to see if those help. I also had a call with one of your health coaches and they suggested I do the food sensitivity test and the candida metabolic and vitamins test. Thank you so much I’m advance!
