About this episode

أحمد ناجي صحفي وروائي أ مصري. ولد في المنصورة. له كتب عديدة منها  استخدام الحياة والذى كتبه عام 2014 وأدى هذا الكتاب الأخير إلى سجنه في عام 2016 بتهمة "انتهاك او خدش الحياء العام" ، بسبب محتواه الجنسي واحتوائه على مشاهد المخدرات ، كان ناجي أيضًا مساهمًا منتظمًا في جريدتي أخبار الأدب والمصري اليوم.

وقضى ما يقرب من 300 يوم في السجن قبل إطلاق سراحه ، وحصل لاحقًا على جائزة PEN / Barbey Freedom to Write من PEN America. والآن يعيش بأمريكا

Ahmed Naji is an Egyptian writer and journalist. His book Using Life, written in 2014, resulted in him receiving a prison sentence in 2016 after being accused of violating public morality for its explicit scene descriptions. He currently lives in self-exile in the United States. This episode is in Arabic and contains some explicit language.
