A Person's ideals dictate the path or choices he makes in his/her life. This is an undeniable fact since the beginning of time. This idea was a constant theme in Naruto. We see where multiple characters who had the same goals became enemies simply because the method of achieving said goal differs greatly. Two prominent characters of the anime that display this are Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju.
