Federer was felled by Kevin Anderson, who saved match point and came back from two sets to love down to overcome Federer in 5. Was it a question of sensational play from the South African, or did Federer look short of his best? Nadal vs. Juan Martin del Potro was described by Andy Murray in the BBC commentary box as one of the best matches he has ever seen ‘live’, and it was hard to argue.
